Sunday

We drove out to the Cascades to check out a cabin in woods we've been eying
and on the way there were these fluffy little seeds floating everywhere...
It was pretty dreamy.

Saturday

Our table.

Friday

M was inspired by this Mark Bittman video with Frank de Carlo, which is actually kind of hilarious (maybe they were high? lol)
It's a black chickpea soup...
He kept it on the lighter side, since it was warm (!): opted out of the cheese and added spring peas and crumbled bacon instead!
YUM.

Monday

We recently had dinner with a friend and loved the pretty, mismatched tableware
(reminded me of Giovanna's beautiful plates at Luce) and candelabras...
Made me kind of want to ditch all my dishes and turn them in for some pretty plates.
Our new place is so much more femme than our last apartment and I feel ready for a change!
Spring cleaning?

Sunday

Some images from a shoot for OBJECT.

Felted sling chair I collaborated on with Ladies and Gentleman Studio for Noho Next at ICFF this weekend.

Friday

We just replaced our countertop and backsplash with some subway tiles.
Looks so much better than before! (Was violet fake stone linoleum!)

Thursday

COMME CI, COMME CA got a shout out on Design for Mankind today (thanks, Kristen!), so
I thought I would post another interview/chat my lovely friend Melodee.
super talented writer and artist.

Wednesday

Also got to attend my friend Elizabeth's beautiful wedding.
Such a magical night...

Monday

Got to spend a beautiful Mother's Day with my mom.
One of the most courageous people I know :)
Happy Mother's Day.

Saturday

 Mikuni wild harvest fermented garlic.
Probably one of the best things I've ever tasted.
It has the richest umami flavor, "notes of sweet balsamic, salty soy, and faint garlic"
We made a quick pasta dish, but it would be so gooooood as a spread on bread!
and it looks pretty easy to make!
Can't wait to try it!

Wednesday

Sometimes when I get home from work I am so hungry I can't see straight, let alone cook dinner...
Miles always thinks of this and tonight he thought of the best tide-me-over.
Hard egg with his pickled onions, flaky sea salt, and cracked pepper.
He cooked the eggs yesterday, so it was a really quick fix.
Now I can actually enjoy cooking dinner :)

Monday

Perfect day to enjoy some rosé and a light dinner.
Matt Dillon does the menu at Bar Ferd'nand and it's always such a pleasure.
My favorite was the avocado anchovy toast, I like his food because it feels like something you'd make at home.

Saturday

Special weekend brunch.
Miles made a veggie mosaic timbale from Deborah Madison's Greens cookbook.
SO GOOD.
We ate it with big leafy caesar salad (dressing was anchovies, greek yogurt, lemon juice, parm, and pepper)
